Region IV Release Status
NMCD Probation and Parole, Region IV is community supervision, not detention. A person may arrive under Region IV after prison parole, through a court sentence of probation, or after an assignment change. The person is released from physical confinement in ordinary speech, yet remains under legal control until discharge or termination of supervision.
Parole follows prison release under conditions. Probation is imposed by a court and may occur without an NMCD prison term. Both differ from unconditional discharge. An arrest for a violation can return someone to custody without erasing the earlier release date. Record the exact status and the date each source describes.
Confirm Region IV Supervision
Begin with the NMCD Offender Search. It covers people incarcerated or on probation and parole. The public form accepts first and last name or an offender number, and its filters include Active, Include Inactive, and Absconder Only. Use the number when known and compare all available identifiers.
- Search the exact name or NMCD number and review all matches.
- Read the status as shown. Do not rewrite probation as parole or inactive as discharged.
- Use Include Inactive when researching completed supervision or an older state record.
- Review the filed judgment, probation order, parole action, or discharge document.
- Contact the assigned PPD office through the official directory and verify the legal status as NMCD instructs.

Region IV Status Meanings
Supervision terms are easy to blur. They affect which record to request and which office can answer. A jail transaction can show release to the community, but it may not identify the full terms. The court or parole record supplies the legal basis, and PPD administers the active supervision.

Conditions are case-specific. NMCD notes that standard terms can be supplemented by special terms, with restitution and counseling among possible examples. The actual signed order controls. A public summary should never guess what applies to a named person.
Quay Supervision Warrants
No official Quay County-specific PPD absconder list or county warrant list was found. Absconder status means a supervision agency has formally recorded that status; it cannot be inferred because someone missed contact or cannot be found at an address. A violation can lead to arrest and revocation proceedings. That later custody event does not erase the historical prison or jail release. Region IV Discharge Records
Supervision ends through the legal process shown in the controlling record. A parole discharge and probation discharge are not the same document, even if both end active reporting. Obtain the court order for probation matters or the NMCD and Adult Parole Board record for parole matters. Quote the exact action and effective date.
The New Mexico Adult Parole Board is the parole decision-maker, while NMCD PPD supervises people after release. No public inmate-level parole decision search or person-level hearing calendar was found. The board publishes governance meeting material, but that is not a calendar of inmate hearings. Request Region IV Records
For existing NMCD supervision records, use the department's public-record channel rather than asking central staff for a live release update. The NMCD NextRequest portal accepts IPRA requests. Include the full name, offender number, date of birth, relevant date range, and the exact record sought.
A focused request might seek the public probation or parole status record, assignment record, discharge document, or a releasable board action. NMCD may redact or withhold protected details under governing law. Ask for segregable public material and the legal basis for any denial.
County detention, court, and NMCD records remain separate. Request the Quay County jail exit transaction from detention, the signed order from the court, and the supervision record from NMCD. The three-source chain prevents a community supervision result from being mistaken for proof about the exact jail exit time.
Verification should also account for timing. NMCD describes PPD information as updated in real time, but it still directs users to confirm legal status and location with the assigned office. A recent arrest, office reassignment, violation filing, or discharge may not be clear from a single saved result. Record when the search was run and which office supplied the confirmation.
For a Quay County probation case, read the judgment for the length and terms of supervision, then scan later docket entries for modification, violation, revocation, early termination, or discharge. For parole, distinguish eligibility, a board grant, actual prison departure, and later supervision discharge. Each is a separate event. Written victim notice follows a separate route. NMCD warns that VINELink enrollment does not automatically register a qualifying victim for written Adult Parole Board hearing or NMCD release notices. Region IV includes Quay and other eastern New Mexico counties. The regional map is administrative, not proof of a person's residence or assigned office. Someone whose court case arose in Quay County may be supervised elsewhere, while a Tucumcari office record may concern a case from another place. Verify the assignment rather than drawing it from the case county alone.
Property and identification needs after release are outside the Region IV status search. Quay County's detention page does not publish release-property pickup hours or an identification-document procedure. Ask detention about property tied to a county booking. For a replacement New Mexico identification card or driver license, use the official Motor Vehicle Division route. If a custody or supervision record contains an error, contact the agency that created that record and ask for its correction process.
Keep personal plans separate from public status. A supervision office can verify what it is legally allowed to disclose, but it should not be asked to reveal a private reporting schedule.
